Furthermore, STATEMENT OF TENETS of the UNIVERSAL CHURCH OF CYBERSPACE The Universal Church of Cyberspace has only one tenet (beliefs/doctrine) - to promote freedom of religion to eveyone. It is the responsibility of the individual to determine what is right as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others and is within the law. Although always implied, it is now formally recognized in the UCOC that UCOC ministers are authorized and fully empowered to FORGIVE SINS. Many people have always understood that religious rite to be a specially claimed rite of the Catholic Church. AS AN ORDAINED UCOC MINISTER, I notify you now that you have the FORMAL authorization by the Universal Church of Cyberspace to forgive the sins of others -- as well as your own as a religious rite. Some UCOC ministers hold that only Jesus can forgive sins. The UCOC does not dispute any beliefs. Absolution is a religious practice of some denominations and the UCOC formally acknowledges that clergy in the UCOC have the authorization of the corporate Board of Directors of the UCOC to act. NO UCOC MINISTER, is required perform this religious rite. Nothing is ever imposed upon anyone in the UCOC. This practice had not been addressed in UCOC literature previously and was raised by the membership. It is announced here, by the church and its Board of Directors. In the name of God, Jesus, eternal power, entity, or whatever your belief system dictates, you are fully authorized, by church law , to FORGIVE SINS.Certificates of Absolution for those who wish to use them can be recieved from UCOC Headquarters. The Church is proud to help you establish your own marriage solemnization service to the public. There is such a great need for independent ministers to officiate marriages that the Church hopes you will help fill the need.
